Please accept my very sincere congratulations upon receiving of the award of an M.B.E. in the New Year Honours, which I saw in this morning’s paper. I know that your work, in itself, is far more important to you than any recognition you may gain by it. However, it is good to know that your efforts have not gone unrecorded and that merit has had its reward. My wife joins me in sending our warmest congratulations on this well-merited honour, and very best wishes for the future.
