Negative Reply to Landlord’s Letter for Enhanced Rent
Dear Mrs. Bhowmik,
I received your kind letter of 16 February, 19… I should like to reciprocate your feelings by saying that my family and I have never experienced any discomfort owing to you. You have always acceded to reasonable requests from time to time. We shall always remain obliged to you for the help you extended to us during our son’s marriage when you opened up the adjoining rooms for our guests free of any extra charge.
I am quite embarrassed to say that at this present juncture I am going through a financial crisis owing to heavy dues for the same son’s marriage. Therefore, it is impossible for me to give any enhanced rent at present.
I am sure my present crisis will betide over within a few months and I shall be able to comply to your request.
I, therefore, request you to bear with me for some more time.
