I cannot quite express my great joy at your receiving the Kalinga Award for the popularization of science. Your articles on scientific topics like computers, lasers, quantum physics, space-age technology, hi-tech communication have become very popular especially among school children. Some of these articles have found their way into textbooks. You have rendered yeomen service to the cause of science. You are rightly called the Isaac Asimov of India.
